The English Department offers courses in creative writing, literature, literary theory, and film engaging works from a number of national and ethnic traditions:

In addition to outstanding courses and faculty, there are many resources available to students, including the Critchett Fund, which provides funding for a range of student activities, from poetry slams to honors projects, from hosting visiting speakers to defraying the expenses of applying to graduate school.
