Professor Jansen is a neuroscientist with research experience in neural plasticity, transplantation, regeneration in animal models of ischemia and pain.  She directs the Taylor Fellowship program, serves on the steering committee for the concentration in Community and Global Health, is a faculty mentor in the Mayo Scholars Program, and serves as the Faculty Liaison from the Biology Department to the Office of Research and Experiential Learning (www.macalester.edu/orel).  She is active in consulting and outreach in the neurosciences and women’s health and biology.  Liz enjoys rollerblading, biking, travel, and playing with her three children.
