ANTH 360  Anthropology of Tourism

Sonia Patten, visiting assistant professor, teaches courses on medical anthropology, human evolution and archeology, African ethnography, and the anthropology of tourism. Her current research focuses on household food security in rural Malawi. Recent publications include co-authored chapters in The Behavioral Sciences and Health care, Family Practice Currents, and Indigenous Knowledge Systems: The Cultural Dimension of Development. She is a reviewer for the journal, African Studies Review.
