Students are encouraged to discuss the issue with the department chair.

• In general, it is suggested that students who have scored a “5” in AP micro or macro course take a 200-level course.
• Students who scored less than 5 are advised to take 119 (Principles of Economics).
• Students are also encouraged to take a final exam from one of our Principles faculty to gauge appropriate course placement.
