Summer Research

The Student-Faculty Summer Research Collaboration Program enables teams of Macalester faculty and students to engage in significant projects over a four to ten week period during the summer. Projects must be related to the faculty member's curricular, pedagogical, scholarly, or creative interests and should be planned and executed by the student and faculty member working together. The projects should be designed to permit completion of a substantial portion of the work during the summer and result in a creative product by the student to be completed by the end of the subsequent academic year.

Anyone interested should contact professors for possible collaboration opportunities. Once mutual agreement is reached, follow the guidelines to apply. Application is usually due by the end of February and decision will be made after spring break.
