Megan Atwood

Visiting Assistant Professor English

Megan Atwood holds a BA from the University of Iowa and an MFA in writing for children and young adults. In addition to Macalester, she teaches at both Hamline University and the Loft Literary Center and is the author of over twenty books for children and young adults, several of which have been chosen as reluctant reader picks through YALSA. She is a prose panelist (and former recipient) for  the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant. Megan also created the young adult imprint, Flux, through Llewellyn Publications and worked for a year as a literary agent at Firebrand Literary (now defunct). She recently had the honor of receiving the Excellence in Teaching fellowship through the Loft Literary Center.
