A native of Alsace, France, Annick Fritz-Smead teaches all levels of French language courses. Her research interests include contemporary French literature, cinema and culture. Her book Francis Ponge : De l’écriture à l’œuvre (Peter Lang, 1997) focuses on the aesthetics of the French contemporary poet Francis Ponge.
