I grew up in Sénégal West Africa where I was born. I graduated from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar in 2010 where I studied English. I am currently working on my Masters and the title of my Masters thesis is "The American Dream and Moral Values in Fitzgerald's the Great Gatsby and Theodore Dreiser's An American Tragedy."
Before coming to Macalester, I worked for eight months in the West African Research Center, a center for academic exchange between American and West African Scholars, as assistant in a program named LOC which collected newly published books in West Africa for the United States' Library of Congress.
