Olin-Rice Science Center Room 221
A study trip will take place in May, 2014, to meet with our program partners in Uganda. The travel group will consist of students and faculty from the spring semester Projects in Global Health course. In Uganda, students will present their research findings to research faculty and clinical professionals from a variety of disciplines (e.g., microbiology, pediatrics, infectious disease) and visit clinical and research facilities. Upon their return, each team will revise and augment their report and present an oral summary of findings for various audiences.
Students will be responsible for the cost of airfare and a certain number of meals and incidentals in Uganda (approx. $2000). Scholarship funds for assistance with travel costs will be available.
Estimated dates for Study Trip:
Departure: during week of May 19-23, 2014
Return: during week of June 2-6, 2014
