Study Trip
Uganda

A study trip is being planned to meet with our program partners in Uganda. The travel group will consist of students and faculty from fall semester Projects in Global Health course. In Uganda, students will present their research findings to research faculty and clinical professionals from a variety of disciplines (e.g., microbiology, pediatrics, infectious disease, psychiatry) and visit clinical and research facilities. Upon their return, each team will revise and augment their report and present an oral summary of findings for various audiences.
Students will be responsible for the cost of airfare and a certain number of meals and incidentals in Uganda (approx. $3000). The exact cost of the trip is yet to be determined. Scholarship funds for assistance with travel costs will be available.
Estimated dates for study trip: January 7–24, 2013.
