From black holes to locust swarms to kidney exchanges, Capstone Day, April 20, offered talks on a fascinating array of topics in the Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science Department.

Classes were canceled and every senior who majored in the department presented on a topic they had researched during the course of the year—41 presentations this year. Of those 41, six outstanding talks earned awards and cash prizes of $100 for their presenters. A celebratory dinner followed. Following are the award winners:
