George Leiter is a longtime math teacher who has most recently held the Shilling Chair inMathematics at St. Paul Academy and Summit School. While there he has developed a uniquecourse that introduces exceptional math students to linear algebra, differential equations, andmultivariable calculus while still in high school. He has also taught in the Netherlands andJamaica. He has served as the executive director of Little World Schoolhouse, a nonprofitworking to bring computers and computer-based curriculum to Jamaica. In addition, heis a board member and former executive director of Minnesota High School Quiz Bowl,which organizes academic competitions for area high school students.
