Is from Amherst Massachusetts.
She is a junior at Macalester College in St Paul, Minnesota, where she is majoring in Psychology with a core in Biology.
Her major areas of academic interest are psychopathology and the link between stress and depression of immune function.
Her other interests include music, drama, and dancing. She is a member of the Macalester College African Music Ensemble, the Macalester College WHAM Committee and the Macalester Chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Soceity in Psychology.
In the summer of 1999, Meryl participated in the REU in Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota. She studied depth perception with Dr. Albert Yonas.
