Before placing an order for additional animals, check the current population.  ACS breeds rats regularly, so there is a continuous supply of animals of a wide age range.  Mice are not currently bred at Macalester.  All animals are ordered from Harlan Sprague-Dawley unless otherwise requested.  Rodents should be allowed an acclimation period of at least one week before experimentation.  Please allow for this when placing your order.  Animals are delivered on Wednesdays.  Orders under $500 must be placed by noon Friday for delivery the following Wednesday.  Orders over $500 must receive approval from the provost and therefore must be placed by noon Wednesday for delivery the following Wednesday.  You must complete this form in full to order animals.
