Students applying to Macalester must submit either the SAT I or the ACT results.

The Admissions Committee does not have a preference for one test over the other.

Results from SAT II subject tests are not required, but will be considered if submitted.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required of international applicants, unless English is the first language or primary language of instruction.

All applicants must submit test scores from either the SAT or ACT in order to complete their application. Applications will not be reviewed without test scores. Your test scores may be included on your school transcript. If so, there is no need to request them from the testing service.
