Global Harmony Community Chorus presents three
“Harmony in the Holy Land” benefit concerts

Saturday, February 10
& Sunday, February 11

North Como Presbyterian Church, 965 Larpenteur Ave., Roseville, Minn.

Show Times: 3 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. on Saturday; 3 p.m. on Sunday

Tickets: All concerts are free and no advanced tickets are required.

Jennifer M. Anderson ’98, artistic and music director of Global Harmony Community Chorus, leads the 100-voice ensemble in three performances to benefit the schools of Neve Shalom / Wahat al-Salam, an area between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Funds raised will benefit the School for Peace, providing dynamic programs in conflict management and other subjects to over 35,000 youth and adult participants, as well as the area's primary and junior high school, offering rare bilingual and bicultural experiences for Palestinian and Jewish students through a curriculum geared toward building understanding, mutual respect and peace. The chorus will sing Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms; Emma Lou Diemer’s “Neighbor, Take This Torch of Peace”; the John Rutter prayer for freedom, “Distant Land”; and Global Harmony’s signature closing anthem, Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia.” This is the Global Harmony Community Chorus’s third annual benefit concert. In 2006, the chorus sang to raise funds for relief in Sudan, and in 2005, they sang to raise funds to benefit the victims of the devastating tsunami in South East Asia.
