Critic’s Trialogue - a discussion of Griep's “Anastylosis”

Critic Michael Fallon will discsuss Mary Griep's (’73) “Anastylosis” series. Taking the name from a term that refers to the restoration of a monument using original architectural methods and materials, the series features gigantic and detailed renderings of sacred structures like the Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia; the Palace of the Governors in Uxmal, Mexico; and Chatre’s Cathedral in France.  The exhibit runs through Sunday, Aug. 12.

An exhibit of juried artwork by award-winning artists depicting the scenery and wildlife of the northeastern Nevada area from Wildhorse Reservoir to the town of Jarbidge and the Jarbidge Wilderness. Three watercolors by Kristi Lyn Hawkinson Glass ’69 will be included among the 70-plus paintings in the exhibit.
