Please fill out the simple form below to sign up for the Macalester Alumni Reader Project. You can sign up to to be an Alumni Reader for this semester or a future semester. Whether you are matched with a student depends on the number of students in a course and relevant educational/vocational background you bring.

Patrick Schmidt (Political Science)
"Rights and Wrongs: Litigation and Public Policy"
Professor Schmidt is looking for attorneys in the Twin Cities area who would agree to read two items: a presentation and a paper, as well as have the matched student formally interview you.
Sarah West (Economics)
"Environmental Economics and Policy"
Professor West seeks alumni readers who can provide feedback on a policy brief that examines U.S. climate change policy. Readers need not be in environmental fields. Understanding of basic economic principles will be a plus.
Adrienne Christiansen (Political Science)
"Getting Elected Modern Communication Campaign Strategies"
Professor Christiansen hopes to match her First Year Students with alumni willing to carefully critique the persuasive, argumentative case made by her students; her readers need no specialized communication knowledge nor background in running electoral campaigns.
I do not see a course with which I would like to be matched this year, but I would like to volunteer to be an Alumni Reader for a future semester.
