How Do We Feed the World Sustainably?

Sufficient calories are produced every year to feed the world, so why are a billion people (1 in 7) hungry? Global food prices have been rising since 2000, increasing by 50% in 2007–2008 alone. Hunger, or food insecurity, is pressing in the developing world and in parts of the U.S.
