Congratulations Class of 2009!
Your MacDirect profile is waiting for you. Become a registered user and update your email address on your profile. You can also claim an @alumni.macalester.edu forwarding address @alumni.macalester.edu by clicking "Permanent Email" after you log in.
Search by Company Name added to meet popular demand
Looking for alumni who work for a specific organization? Using the 'Company Name' field in Advanced Search, you can look up a specific employer to find out which alumni work there.
Note to users of Macalester's previous online directory service
MacDirect replaced Macalester's previous online directory system in June 2007. The privacy preferences for alumni who were registered in the old online directory system have been retained during the transition. However, all usernames and passwords have been reset. A new username and password will be needed, which can be obtained by registering.
Tip: Leave at least one mode of contact "unhidden"
When selecting what information you'd like others to be able to see, be sure to leave at least one mode of contact "unhidden" so your friends can get in touch with you when they find your profile. Your e-mail address, phone number or home address are all good options.
Those concerned about privacy may opt to hide all contact information but their e-mail address. MacDirect has a blind-email function (similar to the one used on sites like craigslist.org) and doesn't show your e-mail address to other users while still allowing them to send you messages.
