Activity:
Tree Planting at Burr Oak Bend in Hamilton County (see website) with Central Indiana Land Trust.

Activity Description:
Continue the Macalester tradition of service by helping Central Indiana Land Trust and IUPUI students plant tree seedlings in Burr Oak Bend—a 120-acre land trust in Hamilton County which encompasses prairie, forest, and a river corridor. Depending on the number of volunteers participating, we may also help remove invasive plants, tag trees and pick up litter.

9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 1

The parking lot of Open Door Free Methodist Church,
20545 Riverwood Avenue, Noblesville, Ind.

Other Details:
We’ll order pizza for lunch. Please bring a few dollars to pitch in for the cost. Kids are welcome to volunteer with their parents or another responsible adult.

What to Wear
All volunteers should bring work gloves and dress appropriately for outdoors work: boots/old shoes, long pants and closed-toe shoes.
