I enjoy gardening, so once I retired from St. Olaf, I have had more time to enjoy this hobby. My husband, Wayne, and I have done some traveling. We enjoy road trips mostly.

At Macalester, I learned to work with and teach children. I also learned to deal with all kinds of people.

I've had a wonderful life having been married to my husband, Ted, for 48 years, raised four children who are solid citizens, done a fair amount of travel in our wonderful country and abroad and now spend our winters in Arizona and spring and summers in Minnesota. I've been blessed.

I received my degree in teaching and while I didn't teach very long, I felt it gave me a good foundation for motherhood. It gave me "tools" in dealing with my own children throughout the years.
