The trip to Mexico with friends from Spanish class was a lot of fun.

Developing wanderlust
“Hasta la vista!” What fun our 1955 summer caravan to Mexico was! Sr. Dassett was our leader as our caravan headed southward. We met students at the University of Monterrey and toured Mexico and many surrounding small communities. It gave me wanderlust as I headed to California to teach in the fall of 1956, then on for a year in Germany where I taught and traveled to 18 countries.

Caravan to Mexico
I remember the Mexican Caravan that Professor Dassett led each summer. It was educational, fun and in my case, my first non-family trip.
