The guys' kitchen
I remember the year a group of guys decided we could save money by preparing our own evening meals in the kitchen in Section 2, Kirk Hall. I always enjoyed the intellectual challenge of the Kirk Hall waterfights.

Friends for life
I have had life long friendships from Kirk Hall. Jim Davenport and I are now annual backpacking tentmates, with 13 mountain treks since 1992. John Lilja remained close and officiating at his funeral in 1992 was very difficult, yet has been followed with officiating at the marriages of his two children and staying in touch with Dorothy. Lloyd Peitzman has remained a friend with common commitments to the Presbyterian Church. I keep in touch with Jacques Trocme. Charles Johnson and I now co-chair the 1956 Reunion Class Gift Committee. Darrel Gubrud was not a roommate, but we lived in Section 3 and we have been close through the years.

A triple for one
It was a great senior year in the dorm with Dick Gehrenbeck and Bob Clark as roomies. Dick never stopped studying and Bob was always in Minneapolis visiting his girlfriend. Also, I always enjoyed our water fights with Hamline University.
