Raincheck
I remember nervously asking a Mac Coed, a beauty pageant winner, for a coffee date at Old Main, and feeling not only encouraged but actually elated by her response. "I'd really love to, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to take a raincheck on that"... A raincheck that remains unredeemed to this day!

Targetted for revenge
During my sophomore and into my early junior year I dated a Mac coed. We broke up in the fall of that junior year and she began dating a transfer student from Colorado. I lived upstairs in Section Three of Kirk Hall in a corner suite with two single bedrooms off the central room. They faced Snelling Avenue and my roommates were Bart Hempel and Marv Luther. Later in the school year my former girlfriend broke up with the guy from Colorado and she and I began dating again. Her recent boyfriend was unhappy in the extreme and one afternoon he proceeded to the corner suite. The door was unlocked and no one was home. He opened the window and dumped clothes, furniture, books and desk accessories from one of the single rooms to the sidewalk below. Some time later Bart, Marv and I returned to the room and the disarray. We learned from section mates the identity of the culprit. We also quickly learned that it was Bart Hempel’s possessions, not mine, that had gone out the window.
