Graduating “cum laude”
After the graduation ceremony, my ten year old niece congratulated me and said she had a question. She had listened to the names being conferred degrees and watched as each graduate walked up on the stage to receive their diploma, a few with magna cum laude, summa cum laude or cum laude after their names were called and they came forward. She asked me why some graduates were asked to “come louder!"

There’s still so much more to learn
On the last day of a class taught by E. Leinbach, he said something like this: “Now you are soon to graduate and have learned a lot. I hope you realize you have just begun your learning as you have so much more to learn.” I have thought about this a lot.
