Working for Hildegard Johnson
I was lucky enough to be Hildegard Johnson's office assistant. She hired me even though I'm sure that she saw me drifting up from time to time in her class the semester before when I sat close to the heat register right after lunch. Working for her was one of the highlights of my Mac experience.

When I waited tables in the Bigelow dining hall, I remember eating with the dishwashing crew (all guys) in the back dining room, giving Miss Yikes — the dietician and supervisor — ideas for the meals, and that time the swinging kitchen door caught the back end of Ginnie Zozel’s tray loaded with 18 breakfast plates all sticky with pancake syrup.
