I like living in Minneapolis with my husband Rick, the love of my life. Also, I enjoy being in the country and am raising miniature llamas on a farm in Scandia, Minn.
My life’s journey has brought me joy and purpose working as a lymphedema specialist both in private practice and at Fairview Southdale Hospital. For fun, I practice meditation, Pilates and energy medicine.
My Mac Memories: The great diversity of people living in Bigelow, the sweet roommates I had, the crazy people living in Doty Hall and the dinner party, the dances in the student union, the fun Puerto Rican guys in the language lab, and the intrigue of the studio arts majors.

Suggestion for Class Soundtrack:
Any song from the Talking Heads first four albums
If you have to ask, you just don't get it.
I've been with the State Department since 1991, serving in Venezuela, Mexico, China, Nicaragua, Belarus, and, finally and reluctantly, Washington. Next stop, Prague, after a year of learning Czech. I married Anna in 2005 and we have a nine-month-old baby boy, Daniel, who is joining my son Nicolas (13), stepson Sasha (8), and former stepdaughters Angela (24) and Deborah (26), who are now living and working in Minneapolis.
My Mac Memories: There's a lot I can't remember... Seriously, what I remember most is what I didn't do — deciding not to see a new band named U2 in a bar because I didn't know their music that well and had to study! I also remember Springfest handouts, Swinging on the rope swing down by the river, the snowball fight, Mac Cinema and French Films, Junior year abroad in Cambridge and Avignon, the thin walls at Wallace, the incident when thugs came into Kirk Hall (only read about it), working as back-up DJ and Seeing the Police and the Who.

"Controversy" by Prince
This song reminds me of the struggle with conflicting and changing values during the early 1980s, and the emergence of a new style of music.
Hello everyone, especially Deb, Kim, Julie and Peggy! I'm still living in St. Paul where I've been working for the State Office of Justice Programs for nearly 20 years now, as the director of our crime victims reparations program. It's always a challenge, especially with increasing levels of gun violence, but it's also very rewarding and we provide a good service. Still committed to promoting a more peaceful and nonviolent culture, so I'm feeling guilty about not being involved in any anti-war activities these days. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Reunion.
My Mac Memories: I really enjoyed the academic side of Macalester especially the history department, and the plethora of student organizations like Focal Point magazine, FEASCO, the radio station, student worker association, Amnesty International, frontlash, etc. I remember it as a difficult time of transition from the vestiges of the 1960s to the more self-indulgent decade of the 1980s. A road trip to South Dakota for the "Survival Gathering" to "save the Black Hills" stands out in my mind for the great outdoor concerts every night and the sunset ceremonies.
