We get to have our reunions together? What a party!

Reason: I think it's a requirement of being on the reunion committee, isn't it? I'm also looking forward to touching base with old friends.

I'm the director of the Academic Learning Center at St. Cloud State University. Part of my job is to teach multiple sections of the two classes we offer, Reading and Study Strategies and Power Reading. Yes, I teach reading to college students.

My three children are married and working in jobs they love, one's a photographer, one's a computer whiz, and one is a physicist. Two are nearby, fortunately the two with children, and one lives in Boston. Mark, the physicist who lives in Boston, is a Macalester grad, as is his wife, Penny, a chemist. Our granddaughter is living with us during the week, so she can attend St. John's Preparatory School in Collegeville. That has definitely changed our lives, but in a very good way.

My Mac Memories: I tell my students about the stressful Latin class I took at Mac with only two students in it — no going to class unprepared! And I remember those long walks down Summit Avenue and late night dorm conversations.

Reason: To revisit and get a new perspective on Mac, to see new changes to the campus, to touch base with people I knew at that time and meet a few others I didn't know, to compare experiences since then.

I'm active in community volunteer projects, enjoy some outdoor activities and take care of my house, do a lot of natural foods cooking, like to travel with my husband and see family.

My Mac Memories: The excellent quality of the French instruction I had, which has come in very handy over the years, as well as other excellent faculty available to talk to; the chance to take walks in the nearby natural environment; the convenient and well-set-up campus.

Reason: Renew old friendships and participate in the programs.

I am now in private practice as a therapist/counselor. I love the independence, but am challenged by all the work of running a business.

I may not make the reunion because we have a grandchild on the way, our second, due May 29. They live in Houston... this is not on the way to Minnesota! We'll see how it all works out.

(Jane, if you read this, send me an email and we could chat from time to time.)

My Mac Memories: Concert choir with Dale Warland was my most fun activity at Mac, but the foundation in world citizenship is a gift that I value every day.

Reason: I want to see all the changes since I left in 1969. I want to reconnect to Mac and the Midwest.

I am retired, but my husband is still working. So I travel often from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin where our grandson lives. Our son was a great joy, but our grandson is even more fun. I have pictures, just ask.

I still participate in my local Presbyterian congregation, but as a photographer rather than a deacon.

My Mac Memories: The Weyerhaeuser Library and my favorite desk. My hours spent in classes.
