I love being a grandmother to Wyatt Brown, who will be 2 next month. I'm office manager and circulation manager for the Metropolis Planet, and am board secretary at church, treasurer of the historical society, a United Way board member, Youth Fair secretary, etc. I hope I'm still doing all the above in 20 years!

My Mac Memories: Hootenannies, the bell tower, hours in the library stacks, using the tunnel to get to breakfast so we could eat in curlers and bathrobes.

Reason: I may go just to find out if my classmates are as tired as I am of seeing Macalester become such a bundle of leftist rants and political correctness.

I started Macalester Alumni of Moderation, a group of Mac alumni who are concerned that Macalester no longer has the political diversity we saw on campus and in classrooms in the 1960s. If you agree, contact me and I will send our first three newsletters.

My Mac Memories: Republicans and Democrats having hearty debates without being attacked by professors and other students.

I quit my Presbyterian Church music job after 23 years because of disagreements with the minister about how he was treating Worship and Music (I am definitely old-school), and so our weekends are free for the first time in my entire life! It has been fun to reconnect with old friends and to have more time with our beautiful granddaughters! John is still busy with School Board and various non-profits boards on which he serves competently and intently.  We love our life in the Minnesota River valley and welcome company!

My Mac Memories: Singing with other Concert Choir friends with Dale Warland is, of course, the second most important part of my life at Macalester (if you remember that my husband John ’69 is the most important). I am so proud to be an alumna of Macalester College and working on the Reunion Committee is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect and to have fun together while doing something important. Come and join us in June — it will be a great joy for all!
