I broke — nay — shattered the tibia and fibia of my right leg two and a half weeks ago while in a spirited ice hockey game (with my team the North Stars, those Minnesota connections are everywhere!) After a five-hour surgery complete with plates and screws and the doctor comparing the incident to a motorcycle accident, I am literally hobbling around for the next 6-8 weeks. (We did end up winning the game, though, which was the important thing).

So yes, ice hockey has become one of my biggest passions in the past few years, and I've been reassured that I will be able to skate again. In the meantime, I am taking a break from working at home for Lexis Nexis Publishing and enjoying the sights and sounds of Colorado Springs from my couch.

I married Bob in 1997, graduated from Hamline Law School in 1999, and have spent the last eight years or so of making a habit of moving back to Colorado Springs four times with stops back in Minnesota, San Diego, and northern Virginia. Don't ask, it's complicated, but hopefully we'll stay put for a while. No kids, just a hyper-friendly German shepherd mix named Alexi.

When I'm not hobbling around on my crutches I like to play hockey (of course!), travel, and job search (after eight years with the same company and five years of working at home, I need a change).  Sorry I can't make it to Reunion, but have a great time, and keep me in the loop.

My Mac Memories: Too many to list, but definitely the folks I met my first year on 5th Doty and beyond, many whom I am still in touch with today. And, of course, basketball (beating #1 St. Thomas in 1991) and softball. I can't forget all the awesome professors in the Spanish and History Departments who helped to make it a memorable four years.
