After graduation, I worked for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency managing hazardous waste cleanup projects.

Then I threw off the shackles of my liberal arts education, earned my MBA and have been clawing my way up the corporate ladder.  I've been changing jobs frequently, each time moving to larger, more powerful corporations. Someday the world will be mine, mine I tell you! See you in June!

My Mac Memories:

  • Turck 4 First Year
  • PHN Parties
  • Road Trips with Nate Heck
  • Women's Soccer Superfans

I left Minnesota almost immediately after graduation and headed to Stamford, Conn., where I began an esteemed career in retail management. My many college breaks working for the Gap really paid off.

After escaping retail hell, I worked a variety of jobs in marketing, moving from Westchester County, N.Y., into New York City. I spent a few years living in the West Village and working in marketing for Scholastic Inc., where I got the chance to get to know Yael Sivi ’94. Then I decided to chuck the working life and go back to grad school. Still in love with NYC, I got my MBA at Columbia (where I ran into Will Silcott ’94 occasionally). After graduation, I started in consulting with Towers Perrin only to lose my job shortly after September 11th.

I met my husband, Brian, while I was living in NYC. He lost his job a few months before me as part of the dot-com bust. So we decided to turn life on its head and leave New York. We moved to Minneapolis, where I've been working in HR and he in IT ever since. In the fall of 2003, we welcomed our daughter, Charlotte (now 3 1/2) and in spring of 2006 we welcomed her brother, Peter (now 1). Life is busy and crazy and good.

Brian and I attended the Mac reunion four years ago (when I was pregnant with my daughter) and are looking forward to connecting once again with Mac friends.

My Mac Memories

  • Listening to the soundtrack for the musical Chess with Meredith and Jeni
  • Going to crew practice on cold autumn days when it was painful to get splashed by the Missisippi water
  • Hanging out at Cuppa Joe
  • Seeing Dan Spiller ’92 come out of 37 Mac with his fire hat, complete with siren, during a fire drill my junior year
  • Getting a ride home from my job at Subway the night of the Halloween blizzard
  • Life on 5th West Dupre my sophomore year
