After graduation, I worked for the Walter Butler Engineering Co. for three and a half years designing interstate freeways. In 1962, I went to work for the City of Minneapolis where I held a number of positions including real property appraiser, assistant in development administration, and information systems development. I retired in 1988 and, with my wife Barbara, moved to Gull Lake in 1996. Together we are active with Habitat For Humanity, planting a new church, and socializing with old and new friends.  Each winter we spend one month in Florida.

I was one of those "lost" students: I graduated in 1958 with an associate degree, so I attended Macalester for three years and went through the graduation ceremony in 1958.  I received my bachelor's degree in 1976 from St. Cloud State, but because I was an older, commuting student, I didn't make any friends there. I had not heard anything from Macalester all these years and a few months ago, I became curious about what had happened to the friends I made there. I contacted Macalester and there was a wealth of information!  What fun it has been to connect again.

After I graduated, I taught first grade at the Snail Lake School in Mounds View, Minn., for two years. I married Jack Anderson (Augsburg, 1960) in 1959. We moved to Atwater, Minn., where I taught Kindergarten. We moved to Willmar, Minn., and lived there for 40 years. While there, I taught at the Technical College (now Ridgewater College) in the area of Special Needs. This was the majority of my career and I enjoyed it very much.  We have three children and six grandchildren. Since our retirement, we have moved to our "Cabin Up North" on Lake Belle Taine in Nevis.  I am involved in teaching yoga classes.  I agree with everyone else: Life is great!
