In 1959, I married Patty Mather ’59. I'm lucky and grateful to have had 48 great years with her before she passed away in 2005.

After graduation, my first job was as a claims adjuster and I was sent to Des Moines, Iowa. This lasted a year as I realized how terrified I got getting back on a ladder to get off a roof. I was lucky enough to get a job with 3M and had an exciting career that moved us to Denver as a sales rep, then to Chicago and New York as branch sales manager, and finally back to St. Paul to a marketing job

We then started a printing business which we later sold, retiring to our lake home in northern Wisconsin.

We have two daughters who live with their families in Winter Park, Colo., where I spend the winters skiing with my grandchildren and working at the ski area.
