Ernie Miel ’58 and I were married in 1959 and have had a full life together. We are Episcopalians, have had teaching careers in Mounds View and Anoka, have a family that includes two daughters, one son, three lovely in-laws, and five very grand grandchildren.

Our life has included sailboats — one the tallest ship on Lake Superior — down to our five-foot sabot (i.e. wooded shoe.) It has included travel throughout the U.S., Europe and Scandinavia.

Best of all has been our family — core and extended — including international students and their families and beloved friends.

Of course, there have been ups and downs. Ernie is doing well despite — or because of — four hip replacements. We no longer hop, skip or jump.

Life is good. Our blessings are indeed abundant. We look forward to celebrating with you at our 50-Year Reunion!
