My ‘Remember When’ stories:
· Surprise guests in Acapulco
I am grateful for the guidance of Professor Mary Howe who suggested that I should focus on the business education field. It was a decision I have never regretted. After graduating from Macalester, I taught business education for two years at Frederic High School in Wisconsin. Jerry and I were married in 1959, and we moved back to St. Paul in 1960. We had three daughters – Debra, nursing administrator at Mayo; Denise, principal at Mahtomedi Elementary School; and Linda, a family law attorney.
After being a homemaker for a few years, I returned to teaching in 1966. I taught business education at St. Paul College until I retired in 1994. We enjoyed camping all over the U.S. with our kids and have many good memories. These were great summers. Jerry and I still love to travel, but we have left the camper at home now. We have traveled to Alaska, Canada, Europe, Morocco, and Hawaii. We continue to enjoy seeking new destinations throughout our retirement.
We have been blessed with nine grandchildren who bring so much joy to our lives. Family is very important to us. Life is good!
