Gloria Glander Deis

Gloria and I married on August 26, 1961, and settled in Mora, Minn., in 1964. They had two boys — Tim, born in 1962, who is married and is teaching at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville in the mathematics department; and Matt Deis born in 1964, who is married and employed as an actuary in Minneapolis. She was very proud of her sons. She has five grandchildren.
She started her teaching career in 1958 and taught for over 30 years in elementary education only taking off a few years to raise her sons. Her concern for the children she taught and their futures was her biggest pleasure and cause.
She died December 2, 1994, in an auto accident and is still missed today by her family, students and peers.
