Freshman Week
The sophomores were so all-knowing.

Our freshman Q&A session on dating
I kept a detailed diary throughout my school years, and recently found this excerpt: "Three Mac boys answered questions about dating after our beef stew dinner at freshmen camp. There were 385 girls (we were seated alphabetically on the busses back and forth to the camp)."
Marianne (Anne) Young Libby

Been there before
I grew up in the neighborhood. With one Central High School friend, I joined the St. Paul Telescope Club, which met at Mac. With another high school friend whose mom worked in the office, we attended Mac football and basketball games on passes. Many friends from Central and House of Hope Church came to Mac.

Starting out in tears
I remember crying when my parents left me on the first day. Uffff! What had I done to myself? But I remember the many friends that I made quickly and soon feeling at home and anxious to get on with my education.
Mary B. Lusk Wangerin
