Reunion Notes

Learning and traveling have been constants in my life, starting at Mac. I lived in Boston (actually Somerville and Cambridge) for almost six years, while earning a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Operations Research. I have also lived in Auckland, New Zealand, for several years and spent considerable about of time in Pisa, Italy, recently.

Currently, I work in Cancer Research at the Mayo Clinic as a statistician. As part of my job, I am required to learn new things daily. [On this front I regret that I only took one biology class at Mac; on the other hand, although I am not an MD, I can play one on TV.] My job also requires a considerable amount of travel throughout the country as well as some international travel. Unfortunately, I also travel a lot each day because I work in Rochester but live in Northfield (near that other liberal arts school).

• Sitting on top of the roof of Old Main
• Dances in the union
• Hoarding food in back of the van with Smokey and Kathy on volleyball trips
• Bike trip during interim January 1983
• Volleyball, volleyball, volleyball
• Springfests
• Unit parties
• Studying in the stacks
• Floor hockey
• Hanging out on the lawn on glorious spring days
• Ice cream raids on Saga after hours
