After Mac, I pursued acting and teaching. I had a blast producing, acting, and directing shows much like the black box productions at Mac. One play had Andrew Price, a terrific actor. I really enjoyed working on films -- one named Divergence turned out really well. You can check it out at www.divergencethefilm.com.
After 9/11, I fell into counseling children in public school through a program funded by FEMA. That led to my pursuing a MSW at NYU. It all came together when I got a gig at the counseling department at Juilliard. Both interests came together. They say when your happy with your work things fall into place and -- one random day walking down Columbus Avenue going to get a slice of pizza -- I saw a gorgeous girl working in a store selling dog clothing and food. Well, despite not owning a dog, I knew she had to talk to me because she worked there, right. Well, a year and a half later we're living in Brooklyn Heights in a one bedroom (yes! I finally got out of my Manhattan Studio/oversized box). Looking forward to reconnecting with people at the reunion!
My Mac Memories:
I remember a strange night it was raining and people started mud sliding down the little hill in front of the Kagin. It started hailing chunks of ice the size of golf balls. The hail lasted for a few minutes and then we got into mud fighting. Oh, to be young!
