Reunion Notes

After a brief stint in policy school at University of Maryland, I moved to Austin, Texas, to get my master’s in social work. I adopted two dogs, got married (in Minnesota) and moved to New Mexico where I work for the Department of Health. I perform audits; and provide training and program support for an early intervention program. It's been a busy five years.

My Mac Memories:
Mirror theft, Tyler's tooth going through his lip, zulus, custodial work study and my backpack vac, hipster friends and their music, Wellstone's funeral, all that danged snow, sleepy afternoons on grass in spring.

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in sociocultural anthropology at the University of Michigan. On a daily basis, this means avoiding the temptations of Facebook and celebrity gossip blogs while attempting to write my dissertation about gender, kinship and language in the mining industry. I fell back in love with the West when I returned to do fieldwork, so I am living in Denver, close to the mountains and family.
