Reunion Notes

After 12 years in Iowa, Massachusetts and Ohio, I made it back to Dear Old Macalester where I am employed as the director of Financial Aid. I live less than a mile from campus with wife and two sons (5.0 and 2.5).  Much of my non-work life includes kid-chasing, light saber fights, books examining the complicated motivations of Spider-Man, and great fun.  

I am lucky enough to regularly enjoy play dates with good friends Nate (’90) and Beth (’89) Kellar-Long, Becky Dale ’88, Tom Gau ’88, Al Willig ’90, Michelle Decker Gerrard ’89.  Julie Rossate ’89 drove all the way from Boston to join us on New Year's Eve.

My Mac Memories:

• Learning how to use Excel from Doug Selvage ’88;
• Solving (once) Joe Konhauser's “Problem Of The Week”;
• Being relentlessly tutored in French by good, patient friends;
• living in sketchy off-campus apartments above Kinko's and in “Slanty House” (still defying gravity in 2007); and
• nickel night at the D.
