Graduation
Triumph #1: Graduating
By Barbara Nelson Fredrickson
The college disease, mono, caught up with me my senior year. My doctor thought I could stay in school, but I must quit all non-essential commitments. This meant I had to resign my position as fine arts secretary on the Community Council and drop consideration of the honors program. Huge disappointments! As it was, I barely completed my course work. (Anyone else have recurring nightmares of dashing to a professor's office to turn in a final paper?) I ended my college years on less than a high note, but I did graduate on time.
