President Charles Turck
A presidential pardon
By Avis de Maagd (Pishney) Elson
I remember the classic water fight in the first floor of Wally Hall in our freshman year when President Turck was called away from a formal dinner to chide us, but he told us the next time we did it we should call him to join in.
Dr. Turck's reception
By Dona Meigs Morgan
I remember getting dressed up in our party best (mainly prom formals), then being transported five to a taxicab to Mac for President Turck's reception for freshmen. We traveled through a long receiving line at the president's lovely home, enjoyed punch and cookies, then squeezed back into the cab for our return trip to the nurses dorm in Minneapolis; all this took place in one hour.
