Macalester-Knoxville Exchange Program Reunion

Reunion - June 1-3, 2012

Welcome!

Half a century has passed since the Civil Rights movement seized the nation's attention. What were Macalester students doing to improve race relations during that era? Did they commit to the movement in any way?

Indeed, Mac students did take action, creating an exchange program with two historically black southern colleges, Knoxville and Morehouse. Between 1962 and '68, approximately 50 students participated in the program. This reunion explores the memories of these Macites and KC-eans.

Please join us for a special reunion for all of the exchange students, their roommates, and professors June 1-3. If you participated in this program, please email Janice Dickinson at with your name and contact information.
