But Where Can You Practice?
Carol Rudy

There are two great stories about Macalester and its Scottish heritage but I only dare tell one. My friend Jeanne Coffin played the bagpipes. But her parents and neighbors did not appreciate it and would not allow her to practice inside or outside. So I invited her to my house so she could practice. We lived on 7 1/2 acres and there were no houses close to us. And further more our garage was tucked under the house. No problem, with the exception that my parents were home. She never did come back. The other story has to do with swords.

I still sing today
David Ranheim

Singing in both the big chorus and the Little Choir with Ian Morton as director was a joy! It led me to continue singing in community and church choirs throughout most of the years since.
