I have worked for HealthPartners, a Minnesota HMO, for the last 11 years.  Gregg Hegman and Simeon Ngiratregd also work in I.S. at HealthPartners. Always a computer wrangler, I have worked in seven or eight industries over the years, including 11 years running Mac's computer services department.

I have enjoyed flying sailplanes, as have Darryl Everett, Jim Barron, Rick McCraw and probably others.

I have been married since the September after graduation to my wonderful and patient wife Alice.

We moved to Saint Paul in 1980, just 1 1/4 miles south of Mac. I live next-door to Lewis Luyster, Carl McNally is across Highland Parkway from Lewis, and Jan Shaw-Flamm '76 lives across the alley from me. I keep in touch with Rick McCraw, who visits when passing through the area.

In some of my spare time, I fight the wasteful effort to re-introduce rail transit into the Twin Cities, but it's hard fighting the millions that government spends with my $100 a year.

My Mac Memories: International Center, Paul Aslanian -- my advisor and later boss. Dr. Scott and many other professors and staff -- both from student days and employee days. Pizza at Ramono's and Mama Rosa's with a number of hardcore IC folks. Of course, the Olin computer room.

It has been a fast 33 years. After working in the Minnesota Senate and also real estate development and property management in the Twin Cities, I returned home to Pipestone. Got elected Mayor at 25 and served nearly 10 years with lots of involvement in state and national city organizations. Liked it so well, I changed careers and was the city administrator in Luverne and Red Wing, Minn. Then another career change to a large agri-business, producing and marketing hogs for family farmers in the tri-state area. Now, I am thinking about taking life easier. Hopefully, it will all work out.

My Mac Memories: Seeing one of our classmates in Carl Egge's Capital Markets class dance at one of the clubs on University and Selby. Now that was real marketing.
