My 25 years since graduation were spent chasing a career in legislative affairs (finance, mostly) that took me to Texas, Washington D.C., New York and eventually to Wall Street. I retired in ’00 when I got married, took on five stepchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and life shared between Houston and Nantucket, Mass. My husband Jim and I have developed a passion for historic home restoration and have completed four in the past five years: vintages 1755, 1806 (Nantucket), 1840 (Independence, TX) and 1934 (Houston). I have the splinters and the gray hair to prove it.

My Mac Memories: Some of my best memories were studying abroad in Costa Rica (our program's alumni are still in touch from a range of ACM schools), being an R.A. in Doty, drumming in the Pipe Band and vegging out at Springfest. I slugged across the river to a social service agency in Minneapolis, too, which was a wonderful community service undertaking.

My wife Nancy and I have lived in the Washington, D.C. area since the mid 80's. We were both displaced Midwesterners working here in the Mid-Atlantic. Though I was never one (even still) who looked forward to school, I'm looking forward to it this time. Just this fall, even during lectures on scuba diving, I almost climbed out a window. However, my four years at Mac were excellent! That says a lot about the school, faculty, and the people I met from '77 to '81.

My Mac Memories: I'm coming to our 25-year reunion to recapture a little of those four years and to see what people are up to these days. That January interim in Hawaii is a standout memory and—of course—friends, the 4th floor of Turk Hall freshman year, and having my dad for Biology 101. I'm still trying to forget how much I studied.
