Planning to attend

I've spent the last two years in grad school for Urban Planning at the University of Minnesota, focusing on transit and bicycle/pedestrian planning. Right after reunion, I'll be starting a job at Metro Transit doing route analysis and planning. While I was in grad school, Erica Nastrom and I bought a house in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul — it's been a lot of fun and a lot of work being homeowners! We got a dog, Reba, last summer and we also have two cats.

My Mac Memories: I met a lot of friends as an RA in Doty Hall my sophomore year — scamming free pizza from Domino's and watching movies on "duty" night was lots of fun. I also loved working with QU and organizing lots of great events — the dances, of course, but also going to conferences and putting on Macalester's first ever Day of Silence.

Planning to attend

Instead of going to graduate school, I work at the University of Minnesota. Somehow got a job in administration doing Web development for University Relations. Work includes confirming that,  "Yes, the internet is down," when asked by non-technical co-workers.

Before working in Minnesota, I taught English in Korea during the year 2002. Would enjoy connecting with other alumni who are now at the U of M, in the twin cities, and/or those who have lived in an Asian country. And, I also get to both coasts a few times a year.

My Mac Memories: Memories with friends stand out the most. On reflection, the small community is what has had the largest impact on my life. Now I can't even get around to sending my snail mail because the post office feels far away or too much of a hassle to get to. Or, maybe it is because, unfortunately, I've replaced real letters with e-mail. That's the second thing — I used to have time to write about all sorts of things and at Mac almost every day felt like part of a big dramatic story that needed to be put down on paper.
