Lately, the Macalester College Department of Entropics has really been taking off. We must seriously apologize for any troubles that may have resulted due to our efforts to "save the music," "save cross country skiing," and/or "save the bananas."  (The bananas and skiing really are threatened, although for two completely different reasons.) I would like to note that I am a peaceful protester, which means you don't have to hit me, unless it's for happy fun love tag. There are more serious things going on in the world today than websites accidentally fubared by kids just playing around.  I swear I gave my donations already!

For the past year and a half I have been working for an aerospace company as a biologist and outreach administrator. As of late I have been playing too many computer games, attempting to teleport, learning yoga, and watching anime in a vague attempt to further increase my understanding of other cultures. Mostly I enjoy the pretty pictures.

My Mac Memories: I like bulleted lists, so I'll go that route:

  • Dr. Maureen Basha's Comparative Physiology course—what a mentor!
  • Mac Nordic ski trips and the ever famous sports-bra incident(s).  Morrey Nellis truly is the first real champion.
  • Angus Reid hall, The A&C Project, and acting as MGS Resident Elf.
  • The semi-annual chaos radio show!
  • Overly-public service announcements, such as demanding snow from the governor
  • My entire last semester, which was spent with the Department of Entropics, Miss Gunn and the "Woman Who Will Save International Agriculture".

Planning to attend

I have been living in or around the Twin Cities since graduating from Mac.  Although I did live briefly in the "Magic Mile" of Macalester, I have since branched out and now live in "that other city" known as Minneapolis.

I've been working for the same non-profit, Community Reinvestment Fund (www.crfusa.com), for the past four years and we've experienced quite a bit of growth. I am "the" technology department there and, as such, they've asked me numerous times to keep aware of busses at all times. I get hit, they go down...

My Mac Memories: My first QU dance was quite the memory. I believe I started gathering the information required to transfer the next day. Glad I reconsidered! Coming to grips with the fact that I was not prepared for college and that if I could make it through Jim Stewart's "American Civilization", the classes would only get easier from there on out. Getting a B- in "Econometrics"—the best B- I've ever received in my life! Losing a lot of football games "stand out the most" for me—although we were quick to bounce back from losses, usually aided by a trip to Park Liquor just down the street.
