In addition to participating in the LGBT reunion this fall, I am anxiously awaiting my 10-year reunion in June 2006. I have remained a Minnesota resident and have had the opportunity to volunteer and contribute to the neighborhoods in which I have lived. I continue to treasure my ongoing relationships with my fellow Macalester alumni.
My Mac Memories: My friends and colleagues would never describe me as "touchy feely". I therefore apologize to them for the following remarks:
My four years at Macalester were incredible. Some friendships that were developed in my first year continue to this day. And, despite the continued struggles that face many closeted young adults, I am proud that my personal coming out experience at Macalester was extremely positive, truly.

Currently working for a non-profit supporting people affected by cancer (day job) and also working/researching for Rainbow History Project (night/weekend job) — D.C.'s LGBTQ archival/historical group.
My Mac Memories: Very hard to choose but most of them center on Yahya Armajani and the Hague House commune!

I'm a Broadband Customer Care Supervisor in Worcester, Mass., where it is legal to get married! Not sure if there are any wedding bells to be heard for my partner and I, though we've been together for nine years now. I guess we're diehard children of the ’70s, leery of matrimony—ha!
My Mac Memories: Meeting my first love, Sam Hernandez ’81 (he started at Macalester in the Class of ’77), and sharing our first kiss in the old "Hispanic House" on campus. We were together for five years! Hanging out with theater folks and being part of Mac's Gay Student Union (1974-1975). $1.00 beer night and doing the "Hustle" at the Noble Roman on Grand Ave. Coming out in 1973. Oh yeah... and some of the classes were interesting too.
